Language Arts 8
Welcome to the 8th grade Language Arts page. This year the 8th grade will develop an autobiographical portfolio that will showcase numerous styles of writing and expression ranging from narrative prose to persuasive text. This work is an 8th grade tradition that allows students to capture a moment in time while developing their sense of voice and self. Attention to grammar and mechanics will be present through out the whole process. The portfolio is a challenging process and demands a lot of time and work from the students, but the final product is always a joy and an accomplishment for the each member of the class. Please be sure to check back for important announcements, digital hand-outs, and daily homework assignments. I am looking forward to a great year of learning with you all.
