Gifted & Talented
Welcome to Mrs. Schrader's Gifted and Talented/Enrichment page. I am so excited to begin this school year. Our first theme for reading will be the Middle Ages. Students in this program from grades 4 & 5 will be reading Crispin, The Cross of Lead by Avi. This historical fiction book is set in fourteenth-century medieval England.
This is our second year with the new enVisions Math program. We will begin the year with units on numeration (place value, comparing and ordering decimals), multiplication and division of whole numbers and decimals.
Our G/T Enrichment Program serves students from grades 3 to 12 in a variety of formats. Our program philosophy states that the program exists to meet the special needs of identified students. These students need a rigorous, individualized, challenging education provided through a variety of learning experiences. The program strives to provide an educational environment that will support students in the development of their abilities and enable them to realize their contributions to themselves and society.
