Fifth graders were busy this week taking the NWEA tests in Math and Language Arts. They will be taking the MEA in Science next week. Progress reports will be mailed this Friday. As you review the report with your child, please emphasize to them that it is important to stay focused and motivated to do their best academically and behaviorally during these last few weeks of school. On Wednesday, May 19, Mrs. Jennings will be taking the fifth grade on a fieldtrip to Conservation Field Day. Permission slips have gone out. Please review them and return them by Tuesday, May 18. Permission slips for Flying the Fifth Grade will be going out today. The Friends of Mountain Aviation will take the fifth graders on a scenic flight of the Rangeley area. Included with the permission slip is an explanatory letter from The Friends of Mountain Aviation and a release form. The trip will take place on Tuesday, May 25, weather permitting. On May 24, at 12:30 the Friends of Mountain Aviation will present information about the science of flight and answer questions students and parents might have. Please join us. After their presentation, students will be putting together a paper airplane of a classic airplane they have researched.
