Welcome to Third Grade! We are excited about learning this year. Our reading themes will be friends, pioneers, other cultures and the ocean. We will be using fiction and non fiction, readers theater, poetry, and mini plays to enhance our learning. Fluency will be a focus in reading. We have a new EnVisions math program that has many exciting pieces. There is a technology piece that will both track learning and drive instruction. The program also includes many hands on components and games to support the learning. Our writing program will follow the 6+1 Traits: voice, organization, sentence fluency, word choice, conventions, and ideas. Our budding authors will be sharing and publishing their writing throughout the year. Any parents or community members who would like to help out are more than welcome to join us on our journey.
